*How do you feel you have grown in skill throughout this trimester? I think that I now have a much better understanding of the basics of a good photograph, and I can probably capture them a lot more successfully than I could before. I know the difference between photograph and snapshot, which is probably the most major difference.
Think about what it was like taking pictures at the beginning and compare that to how you shoot now. Has anything changed? If so, what? If not, why not? When I first took pictures, I didn't really know what I was supposed to take pictures of, and now I know what makes a picture something that people want to look at.
*Do you notice yourself leaning towards a certain point of view? A certain editing style? A certain subject matter? Explain, and explain how your photos demonstrate this. I find myself leaning towards photos that are really very subtly edited if edited at all. My photos demonstrate this because they all look natural and straight from the camera, and in some cases, they are.
*Explain why you chose these particular photos. Why do you feel they are your best work? What is it about these images that make them worthy of the title "THE BEST OF THE BEST"? Perhaps it would help to talk about some individually as well as the whole group. Compare and contrast your best from your good. I chose these photos mainly because of the quality of them. For some projects, my dad and sister were in Europe and they took my camera with them, so I had to use my phone or ipad. These pictures rarely turned out the way I wanted them to, but the ones from my camera did. I also feel differently when I'm taking photos with a camera, it puts me more in the mindset of an actual photographer.
*Is there any project that stands out for you, as either your favorite or your least favorite? Why? Are there any images in your album from these lessons? My favorite project was probably the lighting one, I really liked taking pictures of people with different kinds of lighting. My least favorite project was the angles one, because I was kind of unclear on that. All the pictures of Erin that are in here were from the lighting shoot.
*If you had the trimester to do all over again, what would you do differently? I would make time for each project throughout the week, and make sure I didn't plan it all at once because it's kind of a lot of work to do every single week.
