Photo #1
I put the photos in order of how much I personally like them. The photo I took that I like most is the close up of the water glass with a lemon slice. When I look at the picture, I just think "fresh" and "crisp." I really like the vibrant yellow color against the clear of the water and ice. I used lemons because I liked the way they're split into segments, and all the lines are leading to the center of the fruit.
Photo #2
I like this photo of my cat because of the way the light reflects on her coloring. I was trying to capture her cuddly mood, but couldn't really get it, but I was happy that this photo came of it. I also enjoy that the legs of another cat got in the picture behind the main focus, because it makes it feel less structured. I tried to grasp the way her whiskers move out from her face in lines, which you can kind of see.
Photo #3
I like this photo because it's more of a snapshot, and it looks very natural. Again, I was trying to get her to be cute and cuddly, but she was very weirded out by having a camera in her face. So I let her be, and then sneakily got a photo when she had stopped paying attention to me. I like the angle, because I took it from the ground and it's only part of her head, which I think is unique. I took it there because of the way lines from so many angles lead directly to her.
Photo #4
I like this photo because it worked out exactly how I was hoping #3 would. I like that it's up close, so my dogs head looks big and silly. I liked that the lighting came in from behind and showed the true colors of his fur. I like this photo mainly because it makes me laugh at how goofy he looks, though.
